Hey! Long time, no speak right? Well, real life has gotten in the way, and I took a break from writing and recording new music for a while, but, I’ve been back into the groove lately, so, over the next few months, you’ll hopefully be getting some new tracks.
So, a few weeks back, I came up with a little guitar motif while restringing my classical guitar. It was nice, quite folky-sounding, so I wrote the rest of a song around it. In my mind, I thought it would suit a female voice, so I tentatively asked an old colleague of mine, Ange Hardy whether or not she’d be interested in singing on it for me. Amazingly, she agreed, and she came up with a vocal take for the song that way surpassed what I could ever have hope for. It’s not my usual style of song. It’s only 2 and a half minutes for a start, most of my solos are longer than that! Anyhow, here is the song for you:

And, I know that after hearing it, you’re going to want to check out Ange’s own material, so please, head on over to www.angehardy.com where you can check out her own awesome work, and even catch her out on tour!
Finally, I’d like to thank Ange Hardy once again, for taking my dainty little ditty and turning it into a finished song!
Hey all! Not much in the way of activity for a while, I know, but thought I’d check in anyway. Music production has stalled a little lately, with real-life stuff getting in the way. I was working with singer Ian Brough on some songs, and we were making good progress, when he was suddenly taken ill. He is on the mend now, but until he’s ready, things there are on hold. Best wishes to ya buddy.
In other news, I’ve been fortunate enough to be asked to do some gigs with a local band, Point Blank, as their stand-in bass player. Playing bass live is a new avenue for me, but it’s been great fun. If you live in or around the Northants area, check them out. Their FaceBook page is HERE:
Finally, I thought I’d have a bit of shameless promotion, and mention again that I also do music for any website, marketing or film projects that may require it. To hear some samples of my work, or to make an enquiry, CLICK HERE:
That’s all for now. Hopefully the next update won’t take as long as this one. Take care!
Just to let you know, I have a range of guitar parts available in my eBay store. Whether it’s tuners, pickups etc, stop by and take a look. If there’s something specific you’re after that isn’t listed there, drop me a line and I’ll see if I can source it.
Just a quickie. Here’s a new track I’m working on. Another one of my instrumentals, it’s called T.O. Slightly different: a bit mellow, and I couldn’t let it go without adding a guitar solo! It’s still slightly W.I.P. but it’s not far off…:-)

Just a reminder that you can grab ALL the Lucid Dream CD’s, as well as compilations and solo projects, FREE OF CHARGE from the DOWNLOADS page of my website!
It’s been a while since there’s been an update, so I thought I’d check in. Music is being written, lyrics are being worked on. There are a couple of singers in on the project so far, names will be announced shortly, but in the meantime, here’s a work-in-progress demo of something new I’m working on. Very sketchy at this early stage, (it doesn’t even have a title) and it’s missing vocals and a solo, as well as some mixing, but it was written and recorded to this state in two days, so I’m pleased with it so far…
HEAVY ROCK DEMO
As promised, here’s the retrospective CD: “End of Part One, (or: Tall Tales & Short Stories.)” It’s a two-CD set, comprising of some of the highlights from the first 5 Lucid Dream CD’s.
Given that they are high-quality 320k mp3 files, I’ve decided to upload each CD separately.
The tracks have been remastered and remixed. Some have been edited, a few shortened, and one restored to it’s full unedited glory. I’ll let you figure out what’s what! Each download contains a pdf file of the artwork, so you can print out a cover should you wish to burn CD’s.
Right, back to making new music!
During the writing process for the new CD, it became clear that both Graham and I had differing opinions on which direction the new songs should take, and no agreement could be reached. As a result of this, Graham has decided he no longer wanted to be a part of the Lucid Dream project. This split, whilst a shame, has been completely amicable.
Both Graham and myself have done 5 CD’s over the last 8 years that we are immensely proud of, but Graham now feels that he would like to turn his efforts elsewhere, exploring other musical influences. We both wish each other well with our future projects, and I’m sure that our paths will cross and we’ll work together again at some point.
Taking this into account, I decided to open up the Lucid Dream project, and use it as a vehicle for my own music, plus any collaborations that I do with other people, so whenever a new Lucid Dream CD appears, it will be myself and one, two or more singers, more than likely including Graham at some point.
